The Core DJs, an organization
of influential DJs and music industry professionals, are being featured
in the "History of Hip Hop" online video series at www.TyMeLyNeLife.com.
The historical show features legends like, MC Lyte, Dres from Blacksheep,
Marley Marl, Mixmaster Ice from UTFO, Bun B, and Kool Herc. Plus
celebrity concert performances from artists like Farnsworth Bentley,
Dre from Cool and Dre featuring Dirt Bag, Houston’s own Mike
Jones, and Slim Thug featuring The Boyz-N-Blue.
This special episode begins with Dj One
1X TyMe's flying back in to Toledo, OH from Houston, TX.
We get to meet Marley Marl, plus a concert performance from
MC Lyte of 'Paper Thin' and 'Poor Georgie' and Dres from
Blacksheep performing 'The Choice Is Yours'.
We get to talk to Kool Herc, Core DJs Southpaw,
Tazz Daddy, as well as see the rooftop party hosted by Green
Lantern. We also see an interview and performance from Farnsworth
Bentley of his single, 'Laid Back'.
We
meet Fiend from No Limit, Core DJs Dr. Doom, Skno, Mix Master
Ice, Big Swoll, DJ Babe, Core DJ Canadian Scott Boogie.
Plus we interview Tony Neal, CEO of the Core DJs. We also
chop it up at the Bad Boy Party with Kool Herc, DJ Drama,
Plus Orlando Brown. We also hang out in the studio with
Mysterious from MTV's 'Making Da Band 1'.
Orlando
Brown 'performs' his r&b single 'Trade It All'. The
controversy begins at the Core DJ Awards as an award is
presented to the late DJ Screw's father and brother. Michael
'5000' Watts receives an award. Plus we see a club performance
of Slim Thug and the Boyz-N-Blue of 'Diamonds Remix' and
other hits.
Ali
and Gipp give a Core DJ Award to Wendy Day. Marley Marl
receives the 'Legend Award', and we see a performance from
Dre, and Dirtbag of 'Chevy Ridin High'.
The
weekend is brought to an end with performances from Houston
legend Bun B. and Mike Jones peforms "I'm The Truth,
Back Then, Still Tippin, Badd and more. Plus an outro from
Dres of Blacksheep.
